Medical clerking often omits the Central Nervous System or describes it in a cursory way. Many non-specialists feel rather vulnerable when assessing a complex elderly person with poor mobility, falls, incontinence or cognitive impairment. The aims of this conference are to improve diagnostic acumen when assessing old people with neurological disorders, to know whom to refer and when and to be aware which investigations have therapeutic payoff and which are inappropriate or unnecessary.

Audience: Audience: Hospital doctors especially neurologists, geriatricians, acute physicians and rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists.
