On-The-Job Teaching for SAS Doctors
In partnership with the London Deanery
Tuesday 14 September 2010
Venue:
Royal College of Physicians
Location:
London
The RCP and the London Deanery are providing one day workshops for SAS doctors who are based in the London Deanery. Only SAS doctors in the London Deanery are eligible to attend this workshop.
In a busy hospital environment, most ward-based and bedside teaching tends to be haphazard, resulting in poor educational opportunities for trainees and students. Service requirements may also lead to insufficient time for teaching.
In this workshop participants will learn how effective teaching can be planned and combined with patient care.
"Incredibly applicable to everyday practice and made me keen to teach."
“Very useful ideas to improve efficiency of teaching and trainee engagement in the busy out-patient setting will undoubtedly encourage me to teach more. A well thought-out programme - good balance of interactive and didactic teaching”
