Now that the specialty curriculum and assessment system have been approved by the Competent Authority it is important to move to a process of effective implementation.
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine with the Education Department at RCP have developed a two day programme for Educational Supervisors:

To enable delegates to add to their experience in becoming effective Educational Supervisors

To familiarise Educational Supervisors with the new specialty curriculum in Pharmaceutical Medicine and assessment system

To accredit Effective Educational Supervisors
By attending this programme, delegates will become accredited as Effective Educational Supervisors. To gain this accreditation, delegates must attend both stages of the programme.

e-portfolio

Workplace-based assessment methods

Assessment and evidence of competence

Reflective practice and pharmaceutical medicine

Trainee appraisal and the Annual Review of Competence Progression

Educational Supervisor’s report

Trainees in difficulty

Quality framework and specialty training
The workshops will use a variety of teaching methods, and will be interactive in style. Delegates will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any issues.
